Meditations on the Mississippi, will be on exhibit in the Art Salon at the Figge February 6 – March 27.  Ms. Purington’s methodology of translating layers of color, value, hue and tone offer a view of the Mississippi River as a form of meditation anchored in the river’s current while transcending into patterns, mists and clouds.  New paintings, photographic imagery, flotsam and jetsam will be represented. A public reception in the Art Salon for Ms. Purington’s show is scheduled for Thursday, February 11, 6-9 pm.
